Heatra Project

The Heatra Project was an environmental awareness and sustainability initiative organized by the Leo Club of Colombo Waters Meet to address the growing impact of heat waves and climate change. The project combined a large-scale digital awareness campaign on heatwave safety with a tree planting programme conducted at Sivan Illam Elders’ Home, Vavuniya. Through responsible communication, environmental action, and community engagement, the initiative promoted climate awareness, sustainable living, and long-term ecological wellbeing while strengthening public outreach and impact-driven service.
