Smart Plate Initiative

The Smart Plate Initiative was a health-focused service project organized by the Leo Club of Colombo Waters Meet to strengthen diabetes awareness, nutrition education, and preventive healthcare among elderly residents at Sivan Illam Elders’ Home, Vavuniya. The initiative featured an interactive diabetes and nutrition awareness programme alongside the donation of essential health monitoring equipment and sugar-conscious refreshments. Through sustainable healthcare support and community engagement, the project promoted healthier lifestyles, informed living, and long-term wellbeing among vulnerable elderly communities.
